This policy explains how we handle your data in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other state regulations.

We only collect what is strictly necessary to provide MyT's features:

• Registration Data: Username (we recommend not using your real name), password, and birth month/year to verify you are between 13–19.
• Parental Contact: For users under a certain age (typically under 13 or 18 depending on state law), we collect a parent's email to obtain verifiable consent.
• User-Generated Content: Photos, videos (athletic highlights/talent), and messages shared within the app.
• Educational Data: Information related to SAT/ACT prep or tutoring requests to help match you with resources.
• Device Information: IP address and device identifiers used strictly for security, performance, and to ensure the app works correctly.

We use your data to:

• Verify your age and maintain a teen-only environment.
• Operate social features like FaceTime, "New Friend Matching," and chat.
• Provide academic support and athletic scouting tools.
• Safety: Monitor for bullying and ensure all users follow our community standards.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with:

• Service Providers: Trusted partners who help us run the app (e.g., hosting or tutoring services). They are legally required to keep your data private.
• Safety & Legal: If required by law or to protect a user's safety (e.g., reporting bullying or emergencies).
• Scouts: With your explicit permission, your athletic highlight videos may be shared with verified college scouts.

• High Privacy by Default: All new accounts are set to the highest privacy level. You must actively choose to share content more broadly.
• Geolocation: We do not collect your precise GPS location by default. If a feature needs it, we will ask for clear, one-time consent and show a visible signal while it's active.
• No Dark Patterns: We don't use manipulative designs to trick you into sharing more data than you want to.

You and your parents have the right to:

• Review & Correct: See what information we have collected.
• Delete: Request that we delete your account and all associated data.
• Opt-Out: Revoke consent for data collection or certain features at any time.
• Monitoring Signals: If a parent uses our safety tools to monitor your activity, you will receive an obvious notification within the app.

We only keep your information as long as you have an active account or as needed to provide our services. Once it is no longer necessary, we securely delete it.
